All about us
Wes Brown Photography is a husband and wife team that specializes in portrait and wedding photography…Now that I have that official statement out of the way, here’s the deal.
I have loved photography for my entire life and when it came time to really make a push to do it professionally there was one true cheerleader…my wife. There was a lot of frustration very early on in my career, but Chrissa picked me up and carried me through it. She accompanies me on the majority of my shoots and nearly all of my weddings.
We’ve been friends since high school, which allows us to navigate our way through most situations without speaking a word. That alone makes her the best “assistant” that I could ever have. However, simply referring to her as an assistant is totally undersells the workload she undertakes at an event. While she is still learning with a camera, in between the 4,294 things that she helps with during the day, she still manages to capture some terrific photographs.
When it comes to Senior Portraits we want to make your friends jealous. I could wrap that statement up in a ton of text to make it seem to be a nicer statement, but it’s the truth. When you take your pictures into school and show them off, I want someone upset that they’re not you. Because honestly, shouldn’t they want to be you? You’re a rock star! Movie star! Super star!
Experience
Your Senior Portraits are an important part of your final year in high school. Just like prom, homecoming, and all the other major moments of the year, we want our time together to stand out. We want you to feel like a rock star because let’s be honest…aren’t you?
To us, you’re the most important person on the planet and we want your images to make everyone who see’s them feel the same way.
We want you to enjoy every moment in hopes that we can spark a little jealousy in all of your friends. You’re outstanding, so now you need to stand out.
Our Style
Portraiture to me is something special, but also something that is very loose and organic. I try not to constrict my subjects, but instead let them live in the moment. This allows me to capture who these people really are, which is much more powerful than the cheesy smiles that we’ve grown accustom to in the past.
In the end, I hope to be the person who gives you a record of every moment you find dear and important.
